With 800 Dollars, you can get a phone with a lot of premium features. From important aspects like a good display and a powerful chipset, to ”good to have features” like water resistance, an under-display fingerprint, and wireless charging.

Below are some of the best 800 dollar phones you can get in 2021, with their features.

Samsung Galaxy S21 5G

samsung s21 5g

The S21 5G was released in early 2021. This device comes with a lot of premium features that a lot of users are going to find useful as owners of the device.

It comes with the latest chipset, which gives it its fluid performance.

The Snapdragon 888 chipset on the S21 5G makes the device lag-free with a clock speed of 2.9GHz and a multitasking beast with 8GB RAM.

The device also comes with 128GB of internal storage so you can store all your media files like pictures, videos, apps, etc.

There is a 256GB variant for all you storage-hungry users. Sadly, this device doesn’t come with external storage support, which means you’ll not be able to use your SD card with it.

Besides being a fast device, it is a device with a 1440 x 3200 AMOLED display. This means its screen is very sharp and detailed. The screen comes protected with Gorilla Glass Victus. It keeps the phone safe from scratches and short drops.

The screen is also where you’re going to get the fingerprint scanner.

Other features will be listed below the video.

Pros

  • Big battery
  • Fast charging support
  • 5G support
  • Android 11 OS
  • Water and dust resistant

Cons

  • No headphone jack
  • No SD card support

Asus ROG Phone 5

ausu rog phone 5

The Asus ROG phone 5 is more of a gaming phone compared to every other phone in today’s list. If it’s not going to be used for gaming, then it’s a device for people who just want a “tech” phone.

It offers a lot of RAM options for all your multitasking: 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB. For your gaming, it comes with either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.

SD card support would have been really useful on this device, but no, you don’t get that here.

However, you’re getting a Snapdragon 888 chipset with a clock speed of 2.84GHz, which means a very fast device.

The device is supported by Android 11; this is one of the latest Operating Systems available (since we now have Android 12).

With Android 11, the phone is going to be compatible with apps and games you’ll find on the play store.

Watch the video below for more details on this gaming phone.

Pros

  • 5G support
  • Big battery (6,000mAh)
  • Headphone Jack
  • Good display
  • Gaming phone

Cons

  • No SD card support

OnePlus 8 Pro

Although an older device compared to the OnePlus 9, the 8 Pro comes with a lot of better features when you compare both devices.

The OnePlus 8 Pro is both water and dust-resistant, has an under-display fingerprint scanner, and a fast Snapdragon 865 chipset.

The phone comes with a Gorilla Glass 5 protected screen. Besides it being safe from scratches or short drops, it’s also a 1440 x 3168 AMOLED display, this means a sharp and detailed display.

To store all your videos, pictures, and other media files, you are offered two options: 128GB and 256GB. Sadly, neither variant of the device has SD card support.

Both options are fair, however, if you’re going to be shooting a lot of videos, better get an external hard drive so you can move all the videos to your computer.

When it comes to multitasking, you are offered either 8GB or 12GB of RAM. Both options are great for any phone today. Most phones perform well with just 4GB RAM.

Pros

  • 5G support
  • Good battery (4,510mAh)
  • Fast and wireless charging support
  • Water and dust resistant

Cons

  • Not enough storage options
  • No headphone jack support
  • No SD card support

Google Pixel 5

google pixel 5

Pixels have always been seen as the “ultimate camera phones”. While that’s a good feature for any phone today, one of the best things about Pixels is that they are always compact.

On the Pixel 5, you get water and dust resistance, a Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protected screen, and 5G as some of its premium features.

This device is powered by a Snapdragon 765G chipset. Although it doesn’t come anywhere close to the other devices that have been mentioned in terms of performance, it’s a device with a lot of camera features you’ll grow to love… probably.

Pros

  • Gorilla Glass 6
  • Fast charging support
  • Wireless charging support
  • USB Type-C

Cons

  • Small battery (4080mAh)

Samsung Galaxy A71 5G

samsung a71 5g

This is one of the cheapest devices you can get with “premium features”.

It’s not going as great as the devices we’ve talked about earlier, but it will give you a feel of what you can get if you go for more premium devices.

See the current price on Amazon.

The A71 5G, is 5G supported (obviously, it’s written in the name). It comes with a 1080 x 2400 screen protected with Gorilla Glass 3.

Under the screen is where you get the fingerprint scanner (which is more of a premium thing).

When it comes to speed, I wouldn’t put this device in the “super-fast” section. It’s just an easy-going device with a few “premium” features.

The device comes with an Exynos 980 chipset, with a clock speed of 2.2GHz. It’s a 128GB device for file storage and it comes with either 6GB or 8GB RAM.

The good part is that you get SD card support and a headphone jack.

Pros

  • Gorilla Glass 3
  • AMOLED Screen
  • Good Battery (4500mAh)
  • Fast charging support
  • 5G
  • Headphone jack
  • SD card support

Cons

  • Not water or dust resistant
  • Not Snapdragon-powered

Conclusion

Well, those are the best 800 Dollar devices I can recommend. I only talk about Android devices (for now) because I have a lot of experience with them. That’s why I can’t recommend any Apple product.

So, hopefully, you’ll find a device for yourself from the list. If you have suggestions for devices that should be on the list, then leave me a comment.
